The Industrial Revolution

In the article titled, The Beginning of the Industrial Revolution, complied by Danny Blas, the Industrial Revolution in the United States was significant because the US is currently the wealthiest country in the world. The Erie Canal was a man-made waterway located New York, completed on October 26, 1825. This canal was significant because it allowed people and products to be transported from place to place.
The Industrial Revolution in the US was made possible by free enterprise and entrepreneurs, which was significant because entrepreneurs invested to make profits and free enterprises allowed them to.
The US had an abundance of natural resources, one of which was black gold, or oil, which allowed the US to transport goods.

With the current Industrial Revolution,
you can work anywhere around the world. Source
The US also made good use of steel which allowed for new ways to innovate on products and building materials.
The new Industrial Revolution is happening with 3-D printing and people manufacturing more additive parts, which is starting from nothing and making it into one big single part. Some similarities of the Industrial Revolution then and now is that the United States is still manufacturing and exporting products worldwide. Also, both Industrial Revotions have displaced people, which is the loss of jobs. Yet the new Industrial Revoution lets you work anywhere in the world without having to move.
